Aged compost is the starting point
We begin with manure, sawdust and aged wood chips. Those materials are blended, turned and aged over multiple years. The prepared compost is then fed to the worms. We do not use yard waste or food scraps in this process.
The red-wiggler stage
Our worm feed includes measured additions such as alfalfa meal, molasses and biochar. The wedge beds are planted with a three-seed cover mix. These are descriptions of how we work; they are not a laboratory measurement of nutrient content, microbial populations or a guaranteed result in your garden.
From the finished pile to your project
We bag the finished vermicompost and biochar blend for each order as it is prepared for dispatch. Choose a 2.5, 5 or 10 lb bag for an intended application, and check the dispatch and delivery timing before scheduling the work. If you compare Soily with another material, use the ingredients, process, product guidance and delivered price rather than assuming all worm-compost products are identical.
