Read the product, not just the headline
Castings are material excreted by worms; vermicompost also contains other decomposed material from the worm system. That distinction matters when comparing products. Soily is described as a blend so you can make an informed comparison with straight castings, compost, or a complete potting mix.
Use this buying checklist
- Check the ingredients and intended use. A soil amendment does a different job from the base medium that fills a pot.
- Compare equal bag weights and include delivery charges. A lower sticker price can become a different purchase at checkout.
- Check whether a product is ready to ship or sold by preorder. Plan around dispatch and transit separately.
- Look for actual product test results before relying on precise nutrient percentages, pH, or guaranteed growth claims.
Where Soily fits
Our process starts with compost aged over multiple years, followed by a red-wiggler stage with biochar in the worm feed. Choose 2.5, 5 or 10 lb according to your project and storage needs. The product page shows current availability, prices and shipping details. If you need several cubic yards of bed filler, compare local bulk options before buying small amendment bags.
